X-ray

Here at Durham Equine Practice we currently have a portable computed x-ray system which means that we can take high quality x-rays in your horse’s stable and view them immediately, as we take them. This allows us to give a great service and our experienced vets are able to advise on treatment straight away.

Having a portable x-ray system also means that your horse will not have to be transported when this would be inappropriate or painful for him, for example with laminitis or in the case of suspected fracture. All that we require is a mains power supply and a stable or barn.

Unfortunately using the x-ray machine on a generator can damage it so we cannot x-ray without mains power. In this situation we can of course make other arrangements.
